Dear Valued Customer:
This letter provides an update to our Notice of Force Majeure dated June, 2022, relating to a key supplier suspending operations at one of its Eastern European manufacturing facilities because of government-imposed sanctions.
Although the force majeure event continues, we are pleased to share that we are temporarily making available some 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives in a 50 mL cartridge as an alternative to the 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives typically supplied in 45mL cartridges. We anticipate this new temporary 50 mL cartridge to be available until such time the standard 45 mL cartridge becomes available.
These new temporary 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives 50 mL cartridge products are the same adhesive, and they have the same properties and performance of the current products when used as instructed. Current 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Mixing Nozzles will work with the 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives 50 mL cartridges.
IMPORTANT: The 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives 50 mL temporary cartridges will not work with the current 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ manual or automatic applicators. An S-Type 50 mL 10:1 applicator is required for use with the 50 mL cartridges. S-Type 50 mL 10:1 applicator may be available from distributors as part number DS51- S-Type 10:1.
Temporary pricing for the 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives 50 mL cartridges will be the same price as the 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives 45 mL cartridges. Appendix A lists the alternative configurations available.
Orders can now be placed for the temporary 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Structural Adhesives 50 mL sized cartridges and applicator under the new 3M stock numbers listed in Appendix A. We will not be shifting current orders to the temporary stock numbers.
