Rockwool insulation (also called stone wool or mineral wool) is made from spun volcanic rock, such as basalt, formed into batts, rolls, boards, or loose-fill. It delivers excellent thermal, acoustic, and fire-resistant performance.
How it works:
Traps air to reduce heat transfer, absorbs sound, withstands heat above 1,000 °C, and repels water while staying vapour-permeable.
Applications:
Walls, ceilings, roofs, fire-rated partitions, acoustic panels, and industrial high-temperature uses.
Benefits:
- High thermal and acoustic efficiency
- Superior fire resistance
- Water-repellent yet breathable
- Durable
- Recyclable
